Favourite thing about my job: My favourite thing about my job is the variety, and the fact no two days are ever the same. I also love building meaningful relationships with young people and their families, and I take so much pleasure in getting to know them!

Favourite resource: My favourite resource is without a doubt UNO! It is great for rapport building, turn taking, and attention and listening. I am a little competitive though and I never lose on purpose- I don’t even let my own children win!!

Fun fact: Before I was a Speech and Language Therapist I had a job I had to travel to the Far East for. I was once travelling through China on my own and boarded the wrong train (as all the signs were in Mandarin and my skills don’t extend that far!) and ended up in the complete wrong province, with no one who spoke English and had to figure out how to get myself to the correct place! It was like my own version of Race Across The World, and certainly tested my communication skills to the limit.
